Arthur Grimes

Senior Fellow

Arthur GrimesArthur has a BSocSc(Hons) from University of Waikato, and completed his PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics in 1987. He is currently Senior Fellow at Motu Research, Chair of the Board of the Reserve Bank, Chair of the Hugo Group and Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Auckland.

He previously had prominent roles as Director of the Institute of Policy Studies, Victoria University of Wellington, and at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and National Bank of New Zealand. In 2005, Arthur was awarded the prestigious NZIER Economics Award.
