Emma Jellicoe
Recruitment and Communications Advisor
Emma joined Motu in July 2010 as Motu’s communication and dissemination anaylst, and has now taken over the role of recruitment and communications advisor as of January 2011. Emma is mainly responsible for internal and public communications, and recruitment of interns and research analysts. She also holds a support and accounts role in the Motu Research and Education Foundation.
Emma came to Motu having completed her Honours degree in Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Sociology at Victoria University. She is particularly interested in advocacy and policy development aimed at disadvantaged people in the community.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys off-road and mountain biking, horseriding, and reading widely about anything. Emma also enjoys volunteering as a job mentor for English Language Services, who help new immigrants with english as a second language to find permanent skilled work in New Zealand.
