Hugh McDonald
Research Analyst
Hugh joined Motu at the beginning of 2010 as a Research Analyst, following a spell as an intern in early 2009. He is currently working with senior fellow Suzi Kerr on projects concerning nutrient trading and water quality in the Lake Rotorua catchment, and on how to deal with agricultural emissions in New Zealand’s Emissions Trading Scheme.
Hugh came to Motu from the University of Otago, graduating with first class honours majoring in economics (BCom).
Outside of work, Hugh enjoys time with friends, and playing and listening to music.
