Sylvia Dixon
Research Analyst 2003-2006

Sylvia Dixon worked at Motu as a part-time Research Analyst from 2003 to 2006, working 16 hours a week.
While at Motu, she contributed to research papers on the Maori income distribution, adult literacy and human capital spillovers. She has an M.A. in Sociology and a B.A. Honours in Economics.
Currently Sylvia works as a Principal Researcher at the Department of Labour, and is seconded to Statistics NZ for research purposes. She is a member of the Linked Employer-Employee Database (LEED) research team. Her recent work has focused on benefit-to-work transitions, employment-to-retirement transitions, and the measurement of labour productivity in LEED.
