Zack Dorner
Summer intern 2011-12
Zack came to Motu in November 2011 to complete an internship in environmental economics. He worked with Suzi Kerr on policy design for methane, building on AgResearch work.
Zack is a passionate environmentalist, and Wellington local. His environmental interests led him to study economics and environmental studies for his BA, which he completed at Victoria University in 2011.
Zack was a part of the first New Zealand Youth Delegation to the international climate change negotiations, which went to Copenhagen in 2009. He served for a year and a half on the Victoria University of Wellington Student Association’s (VUWSA) Executive as the Environmental Officer, and has run for Parliament twice for the Green Party.
He is now planning to pursue environmental economic research further, with an interest in climate change and environmental limits to economic growth. His next step is to complete his Honours in Economics.
