Capacity Building and Outreach
Motu aims to enhance the research environment in New Zealand by producing high quality independent research. We also aim to enhance New Zealand's overall ability to create robust economic and public policy research. We do this in a number of ways:- We host a popular Public Policy Seminar Series. This series provides a forum for informed debate on public policy issues.
- Our Senior Fellows all play an active role in New Zealand universities, either teaching courses or supervising post-graduate students' theses. More...
- We offer two scholarships: a summer internship/scholarship for a top Maori student and a doctoral scholarship.
- We develop and document datasets that can be used by a wide range of researchers, including graduate students.
- We welcome discussion of our research in the media.
