International Emissions Trading
Our international climate change work especially focused on the design of international emissions trading, in particular the Kyoto Protocol and the European Union emissions trading system, and compliance regimes and the allocation of liability for non-compliance. Our work on preventing deforestation is related to our international work on emissions trading, since forests sequester carbon.
One key product of our international emissions trading work, from a dialogue process run by the Center for Clean Air Policy, was an edited volume of papers on the design of the Kyoto flexibility mechanisms.
