Objective 3: To analyse policies for adaptation and mitigation
Our policy analysis work will use qualitative and theoretical analysis, will draw on the international literature and international experience, and will motivate and be informed by the empirical modelling in Objective 1 and Objective 2.
Our simulation work will improve policy makers’ ability to predict the impacts of climate change. Our policy work will focus on how to use this information to adapt effectively in two critical areas, infrastructure investment and electricity governance. We will also explore how this electricity governance structure would best interact with policies aimed at efficient mitigation of climate change, especially emissions trading.
