NZ is a richer country than many of us believe - but we're one of the most unequal too

Kiwis own one of the biggest hoards of personal possessions, cars and appliances in the world, new research has revealed.

In terms of owning stuff, New Zealand could be the third richest country in the world - but it would also have some of the worst inequality rates in the OECD, says the New Zealand economist Arthur Grimes

This new "wealth league" would be created if the Government focused on different measures of wellbeing, said Grimes.
