How women take a $116m hit every year from lack of access to childcare

Research done by Motu shows New Zealand women wanting to work are missing out on approximately $116m a year because of barriers to accessing childcare.

The system doesn’t work for at least half of all women. It’s worse for those on low incomes, Māori, Pasifika and disabled women.
