Hannah Kotula

Hannah joined Motu Research in March 2021 after completing a masters in ecology at the University of Canterbury.

 

Her thesis focused on predicting nontarget impacts of biological control agents using machine-learning techniques. Before completing her masters, she completed a bachelor’s degree double, majoring in biological sciences and mathematics.

 

At Motu Research, Hannah works on a range of projects. She is currently working with Dave Maré on detecting discrimination in the housing market. With Izi Sin she is investigating impacts of the driver licensing system, and with Catherine Leining she is working on climate change policy.

 

Hannah enjoys reading, tramping and being in the outdoors.
