Kyle Higham

Kyle Higham joined Motu Research as a Fellow in April 2023.

He earned his PhD in Physics from Victoria University of Wellington, supported by a transdisciplinary Te Punaha Matatini-funded scholarship.

Before joining Motu Research, Kyle held postdoctoral positions at Ecole polytechnique federale de Lausanne in Switzerland and Hitotsubashi University in Japan.

His research interests encompass complex systems, innovation, and the science of science. His work typically focuses on intellectual property policy and the use of information in technical documents (such as patents and scientific articles) to study knowledge diffusion and innovation outcomes more broadly.
